Most pigmentation is caused by inflammatory processes in the skin. This is referred to as PIP – Post Inflammatory Pigmentation. The solution is to remove the cause of inflammation, be that excessive exposure to the sun, or dehydration of the skin, or skin care containing caustic ingredients that leave the skin in a constant state of micro-inflammation. If the source of inflammation is removed the skin will, as it renews itself over time, shed the discoloured cells, revealing normal colour cells. Certain ingredients such as Bearberry Extract, Arbutin and some others can help speed this process.
Deep dermal pigmentation may be caused by hormonal activity, medication or other processes in the skin. Such conditions are very difficult to treat. They require professional diagnosis and advice regarding suitable treatment options.

HOW TO USE
As often as required after cleansing the area with the appropriate Dr. Spiller products, apply a liberal application of Aloe Vera Gel. Follow with the prescribed Dr. Spiller eye, day or night Hydratain® solution if desired.

Aloe Vera Gel may be kept in the fridge to enhance the cooling, soothing feeling on application. Aloe Vera Gel makes an excellent post-wax, laser and IPL product. Apply Aloe Vera Gel in a thick layer as a post-sun exposure hydrating mask.
Aloe Vera Gel may be used as a gel shaving medium for men’s skin as well as an after-shave gel.

HOW TO USE
PM, lightly soak two cotton pads with Eye Make-Up Remover, gently press and hold for 10-15 seconds over the target area to delicately dissolve waterproof and transfer-resistant make-up.
Repeat until all removed. Pat the area dry then follow with the appropriate Dr. Spiller facial cleanser and toner.
